TARA LEIGH PATRICK
LifestoryCarmen Electra is originally from a town near Cincinnati, Ohio called White Oak. She went to the "School of Creative and Performing Arts" and her real name is Tara Patrick. She got the name Carmen Electra because Prince, who discovered her in LA in 1991, told her she looked like a Carmen and she chose Electra for her last name after a Goddess. He tried to help her get a record deal, and finally she landed one with Paisley Park Records. After many trials and tribulations, Electra finally released a record to very dismal success. Her career seemed that it might be over, but in 1996 she posed in Playboy's Playboy Cheerleaders. This re-launched her career. She now is the host of MTV's "Singled Out", taking the position after Jenny McCarthy went looking for bigger and better things (i.e. two failed television shows). Carmen also starred in a comic book called Embrace, published by Lonmdon NIght Studios. The first issue, "Kill Me Softly", is now available in three versions:a regular one, an NC-17 one, and a signed platinum limited edition. In January 1997, the New York Daily News announced Carmen was going to replace Pamela Anderson on Baywatch. Carmen had occasionaly appeared on the spin-off Baywatch Nights, and in April 1997, Carmen signed a five-year contract with the show. Carmen is also starred in Good Burger in 1997. She portrays a seductress, Roxanne, charged with stealing a secret sauce recipe from a competing hamburger joint. Her relationship with B-Real of Cypress Hill ended, which puts her plans for a new album in jeopardy (he was the producer). But Carmen claims an album will appear. AppearancesTV & MOVIE Pictures:
